Tietoevry Care and NTT DATA collaborate on developing a new Open Health Platform for Catalonia, Spain

The Catalan Open Health Platform is a digital healthcare initiative led by the Catalan Health Service (CatSalut), the public entity responsible for healthcare in Catalonia, an autonomous region in northeastern Spain. It represents a transformative effort to unify and modernize the region’s healthcare data systems using open standards, particularly the openEHR standard. The platform will serve as a foundation for integrated healthcare delivery across Catalonia, aiming to unify clinical data from hospitals and enable care providers for better coordination and improved decision-making. This initiative reflects Catalonia’s commitment to building a vendor-neutral, patient-focused health ecosystem that supports innovation and continuous improvement.
