Tietoevry Tech Services to develop Metsä Group's IT services by leveraging automation, cloud and AI
Published: 08 May 2025
Metsä Group and Tietoevry Tech Services have signed a new three-year agreement, reinforcing a partnership that has spanned over 15 years. The agreement covers Metsä Group’s entire IT infrastructure services, including mill and SAP environments. The collaboration ensures the reliable and secure operation of Metsä Group’s critical infrastructure.
“Operational reliability is a top priority for us,” says Tapio Nuutinen, Chief Information Officer at Metsä Group.
“Tietoevry Tech Services provides high-quality IT services. They understand the special characteristics of the forest industry and have proven their ability to reliably deliver 24/7 service. This partnership is a strategically important part of our service portfolio – and our day-to-day cooperation runs smoothly,” Tapio Nuutinen continues.
Tietoevry Tech Services develops Metsä Group’s IT service portfolio by leveraging automation, cloud technologies and artificial intelligence, which enable an even higher standard of service and faster response to changing needs.
Satu Kiiskinen, Managing Director, Tietoevry Tech Services, highlights that above all, the strong collaboration between Metsä Group and Tietoevry Tech Services stems from a shared commitment to building sustainable digital solutions at the heart of industrial operations.
“Continuing a partnership built on trust, long-term cooperation, and a shared drive for renewal is a pleasure,” says Satu Kiiskinen.
“Metsä Group places great importance on maintaining the operational reliability of its mills, ensuring the cost-effectiveness of services, and the implementation of modern technology solutions. Our primary focus in this partnership is to secure Metsä Group’s critical IT infrastructure – in a smarter, more scalable, and more secure manner,” says Satu Kiiskinen.
