Tietoevry Enters AI-RAN Alliance to Drive AI Innovations in Mobile Networks

Tietoevry is excited to join the AI-RAN Alliance, a forward-thinking group focused on transforming radio access networks (RAN) through innovative AI technologies. Integral to Tietoevry’s strategy to dominate AI across all sectors, this partnership represents a key step in its mission to advance mobile network performance, efficiency, and sustainability.

As part of the AI-RAN Alliance, Tietoevry plans to apply its extensive expertise in AI and telecommunications to develop groundbreaking AI solutions. This collaboration will drive network automation and foster the creation of more intelligent and resilient communication systems.

Alliance members will focus on three key areas of research and innovation:

1.  AI for RAN. Boosting RAN capabilities with AI to enhance spectral efficiency.
2.  AI and RAN. Merging AI with RAN processes to optimize infrastructure and unlock new revenue opportunities.
3.  AI on RAN. Implementing AI services at the network edge to increase operational efficiency and offer novel services to mobile users.

Network operators within the alliance will lead the testing and deployment of these advanced technologies, developed through joint research by member companies and universities.
