With client information systems being such vital tools for social-care professionals, the wellbeing services county of Southwest Finland has chosen the Lifecare solution developed by Tietoevry Care. Lifecare helps to ease the task burden for care workers in their various locations across Southwest Finland, and enables the provision of equal services to the county’s 500,000 residents. The client information system covers service processes for all tasks related, for example to the provision of care for families with children, the elderly, people with disabilities, and child protection.
“A unified client information system enables the harmonization of recording and operating methods across the county. It also supports us in developing our operations and providing services more equally to customers. Lifecare enables the development of unified electronic services too,” says Jari Poromaa, CIO of the wellbeing services county of Southwest Finland.
“Lifecare replaces the systems currently in use across the county and brings greater clarity to the daily work of its social care professionals,” says Tiina Tauru, Head of Tietoevry Care Finland.
“Tietoevry Care has extensive and versatile industry expertise as a client information system provider, and we are developing Lifecare in Finland through collaboration with our wellbeing services customers in Päijät-Häme, South Karelia and South Ostrobothnia. We are now very pleased to collaborate with Southwest Finland too, as the county becomes a Lifecare user in the second half of 2024 along with Satakunta county,” says Tauru.
“Having a standardized client information system is an important step in harmonizing a county's operating models and services,” says Jari Nevalainen, CEO of the in-house company 2M-IT, which prepared the tender together with the Southwest Finland wellbeing services team.
Tietoevry has provided health and social care systems to its Finnish customers for more than a quarter of a century. The Lifecare system – which currently serves 2.4 million citizens of Finland – continues to be developed in collaboration with leading health and social care professionals.
Edit: Tietoevry has provided health and social care systems to its Finnish customers for more than a quarter of a century instead of decade as stated earlier.
