Tietoevry to celebrate Pride across the Nordics and beyond
As in previous years, Tietoevry will also this year celebrate Pride. These celebrations are part of our broader work on diversity, equity and inclusion.

June is the official Pride Month, with celebrations taking place across the globe. The month is both a celebration of the victories that have been won in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights and a reminder that we still have a way to go.
For Tietoevry, participating in Pride is an important manifestation of our Nordic heritage and core company values of openness, trust and diversity. It also reflects our commitment to universal human rights. That is why we are partnering with the official Pride celebrations in Helsinki, Oslo and Stockholm and why we will be marking the occasion in the Czech Republic and Latvia as well.
Welcoming everyone as they are
“As a company, we strive to create an environment where people can bring their whole self to work, where every individual is respected, and everyone feels psychologically safe. Not having to waste energy and creativity on feeling ashamed or hiding who you are is an integral part of this, which is why celebrating Pride is important for us as a company”, says Trond Vinje, Head of HR at Tietoevry.
In line with our commitment to inclusion and respect for all identities, Tietoevry updated the gender balance target in our Sustainability Pledge to 49/49 in 2024. This change acknowledges that not everyone identifies with the traditional binary understanding of gender.
To turn our diversity, equity and inclusion-related goals into reality, we have strengthened various people processes. We provide training for recruiters and hiring managers, mark our job ads as male/female/diverse (m/f/d) to signal that we encourage applications from people of all gender identities, and minimize unconscious bias during the recruitment process by using tests, assessments and competency-based interview guides.
Pride still needed – Businesses have a role to play
At Tietoevry, we believe that involving businesses in Pride sends an important message and helps set examples among employers on how to promote inclusion and create a company culture that welcomes everybody.
“Supporting Pride is one way that we as a company can show our support for the LGBTQ+ community. Creating a culture that values diversity and inclusion is something that we think makes us stronger as a business. Moreover, we know that this is something that a lot of our colleagues are very passionate about and that they want to contribute to,” concludes Vinje.
