The automotive industry is navigating a dynamic transition toward the reality of software-defined vehicles (SDVs). This strategic evolution presents a plethora of challenges that demand collective industry-wide solutions. In Tietoevry, we believe that the future of the automotive industry will rely on the following key elements:
• Standardization
• The adept utilization of open-source software for non-differentiating components
• Strong partnerships and alliances
• Tailor-made software
What is Automotive Demonstration Platform (ADP)?
As an automotive software engineering service company, we wanted to showcase our capabilities within various technical domains. However, with ADP development, we didn't want to create yet another rudimentary digital cockpit demonstration.
Instead, we wanted to underscore our dedication to utilizing open-source solutions and industry-recognized standardized methodologies for mitigating challenges associated with vehicle data fragmentation.
In the light of this vision, we have undertaken efforts to combine open-source software solutions from industry alliances like COVESA, Eclipse SDV, and SOAFEE with well-established and industry-proven AUTOSAR, Automotive Grade Linux and Android Automotive OS platforms. This concerted integration is further fortified by the incorporation of Tietoevry's custom-made software modules and dedicated applications crafted by experienced engineers.
