I have 25+ years’ experience from SAP solutions, and the design, implementation and run phases. I have been working in SAP Finland, SAP customer (Nokia) and in SAP service providers (ICL Data, XRSolutions, Deloitte and Tietoevry), and seen SAP from many different angles.
I want to give positive and goal-oriented development mindset to our SAP customers and also to our SAP team. SAP technology and solutions have developed with major steps during the past 25 years, and same will continue. The current challenges include S/4HANA transition, data management, ML/AI powered applications, integrations between systems and high usability with modern user interface technologies.

SAPSA Impuls Gothenburg 6.5.2025
We were excited to participate in SAPSA Impuls in Gothenburg in May, where the spotlight was on S/4HANA transformation, SAP on Azure and RISE with SAP, and the challenges of handling custom objects such as custom code, custom tables, user exits, custom views etc.
The event sparked valuable conversations around strategies for ECC to S/4HANA migration, the shift toward Clean Core, and the future of SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), launched just the day before the event. Business AI also took center stage, with attendees looking for practical guidance on how and when to implement AI for measurable business value.

SAP Supply Chain Collaboration Breakfast 13.5.2025
At the event, UPM shared its experiences in supply chain management and the use of SAP Business Network Supply Chain Collaboration. We also showcased, through a demo, how SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Network support supply chain execution and collaboration with suppliers.
It was great that so many supply chain professionals were able to make it at SAP Finland in Espoo and explore how SAP Business Network can help eliminate manual processes, improve collaboration with suppliers, and build more resilient operations.

SAP Sapphire Madrid 26.-28.5.2025
The key highlights from the SAP Sapphire in Madrid
SAP Cloud offerings are evolving, and companies are rethinking their platform strategies to drive agility, resilience, and innovation.
The momentum behind SAP Cloud is accelerating even more. The crystallized RISE / GROW with SAP journeys help customer discussions regarding the Business Suite. Some very impressive volumetrics shared, such as roughly 146000 managed systems of which 80% are running on hyperscalers like Microsoft Azure! The scale is immense.
The automation in SAP Basis operations is unlocking new levels of efficiency. We are always improving our efficiency. Great discussions with Avantra regarding their product in this area.
Platform resilience is clearly central on customers' roadmaps. The sovereignty was definitely visible also in Sapphire, where SAP customers like Airbus are implementing SAP solutions while keeping a sovereign eye on things. Super interesting customer case showing how flexible modern solutions can be achieved, for example, regulatory compliance. The key technologies in this area are SAP Integration Suite – Edge Integration Cell which enables data to never leave your own environment.
As always, SAP announced a lot of new and changed things at Sapphire. Most notably, the pivot away from ERP to Business Suite which includes AI, Data and Applications. The new pricing packages for Cloud ERP and emphasizing the RISE and GROW with SAP journeys. I think the annoucements are a great help to customers who are looking for the next step in their SAP Platform journey, especially with the Business Data Cloud or Business Technology Platform – or just traditional ERP hosting.

SAP Finug #RACE2027 Seminar 22.5.2025
More than a decade ago, SAP started talking about a race towards a new decade. The finish line originally set for 2025 was pushed back to 2027, but the race continued. SAP Finug #RACE2027 Seminar was once again a success. This time in a completely new venue, the Scandic Grand Central Hotel at Helsinki Railway Station.
We had a customer case presentation with Kemira on Kemira's data transformation with SAP Analytics Cloud & SAP Datasphere. Kemira re-imagines spend analytics with SAP Analytics Cloud and Datasphere, transforming raw data into actionable insights, driving smarter financial decisions and optimizing procurement strategies.
In addition, our SAP ecosystem veteran Kari Pietiläinen gave the good news of "The Great SAP Adventure X - India or America", which dealt with the upheavals of the SAP world on a scale comparable to the "Columbus expeditions".
